BIO

Not unlike David Bowie, Joni Mitchell or Liz Phair (among others) Siuan is both a painter as well as being a truly original singer/songwriter. Its hard to come up with a relevant comparison for this sort-of folk, sort-of punk, melodic songwriter with a distinctly haunting, but quirky voice. Maybe if Debbie Harry and Patti Smith had a love-child, she might sound (and even look) something like Siuan. Other attempts at classification include Bruce Springsteen meets the GoGo's or Neil Diamond meets PJ Harvey. Off-center comparisons for an off-center artist. Siuan bangs out songs on her guitar that are sometimes hilarious, other times emotionally profound, but always lyrically mind-boggling. Siuan's meandering background in philosophy, mathematics, rocket science, and art finds its way into songs that could only be written by a modern-day renaissance woman.

Formerly of the indie/garage band The Renders, Siuan has recently been experimenting with adding midi and other electronic elements to her solo acoustic set. Stay tuned!

Siuan is endorsed by Daisy Rock guitars.
